El Parque Chicamocha o Panachi está ubicado en la vía Bucaramanga - San Gil, a 54 km de la capital del departamento de Santander (Bucaramanga) y a 39 km de San Gil. Ha sido construido sobre el Cañón del Chicamocha, aprovechando sus riquezas naturales e históricas. Su extensión es de 264 hectáreas. El Parque comprende un conjunto urbanístico conformado por diferentes elementos y lugares, que buscan fomentar los valores de la tierra, el paisaje y la cultura santandereana. Entre estos elementos se cuentan: una sede administrativa, cultural y de turismo, parqueaderos, estación del teleférico, anillo vial, pueblo santandereano, concha acústica, teatro, monumento a la cultura santandereana, mirador natural, senderos y caminos, lugares de contemplación y descanso.

Usar Teleférico es la mejor forma para cruzar el cañón y llegar a la estación de Mesa de los Santos  donde a tan solo 10km está situado el Refugio la Roca.

The cable car is the best way to cross the canyon and get to the station at La Mesa de los Santos just 10km from the Shelter.
